My Way To The Cyber Security
My passion for IT began with the Commodore C64. From today's perspective, it's pure nostalgia. This preordained my path to a technical vocational education after school.
Thus, I started an apprenticeship as a communication electronics technician specializing in information technology for 3 1/2 years.
At the end of my apprenticeship as a communication electronics technician with a focus on information technology, I decided to pursue further studies. So, I enrolled at the University of Applied Sciences for Telecommunications. After some challenges in the initial semester, I successfully graduated as a Dipl.-Ing. (Diploma Engineer).
In my diploma thesis, I dealt with network technology, which also led to my first professional position. I planned the campus networks for a large company. Here, I already had my first contacts with cybersecurity and the necessary IT architecture.
After various positions in the company, ranging from project management to account management, I decided to switch to consulting. There, I worked on exciting projects for different customers at various locations, mainly in service management. I intensively dealt with ITIL v3 and achieved certification as an ITIL Expert.
Since knowledge in project management is indispensable in consulting, I also delved into Prince2 and SCRUM.
After a change, the affinity for cybersecurity remained, and I focused my consulting on cyber and information security.
Since then, I have led and implemented many projects in various industries in the field of information security. These included ISO27001, auditing in the cloud, and many other topics. From that point on, I have conducted security consulting and projects in different industries and roles.
